* முன்னே நீங்கள் தேவனுடைய ஜனங்களாயிருக்கவில்லை. இப்பொழுது அவருடைய ஜனங்களாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; முன்னே நீங்கள் இரக்கம் பெறாதவர்களாயிருந்தீர்கள்; இப்பொழுதோ இரக்கம் பெற்றவர்களாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

* பிரியமானவர்களே, அன்னியர்களும் பரதேசிகளுமாயிருகிற நீஇங்கள் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு விரோதமாய் போர்செய்கிற மாம்சஇச்சைகளை விட்டு விலகி,

* எல்லரையும் கணம்பண்ணுங்கள்; சகோதரரிடத்தில் அன்புகூறுங்கள்; தேவனுக்கு பயந்திருங்கள்; ராஜாவை கணம்பண்ணுங்கள். ( 1பேதுரு 2 : 6,7,10,11,17)
