* That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

* Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.

* He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

* A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

* And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.[ Matthew 12:17-21 ]

* ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசியால் உரைக்கப்பட்டது நிறைவேறும்படி இப்படி நடந்தது, அவன் உரைத்ததாவது;

* இதோ, நான் தெரிந்துகொண்ட என்னுடைய தாசன், என் ஆத்துமாவுக்குப் பிரியமாயிருக்கிற என்னுடைய நேசன்; என் ஆவியை அவர்மேல் அமரப்பண்ணுவேன், அவர் புறஜாதியாருக்கு நியாயத்தை அறிவிப்பார்.

* வாக்குவாதம் செய்யவும்மாட்டார், கூக்குரலிடவும்மாட்டார்; அவருடைய சத்தத்தை ஒருவனும் வீதிகளில் கேட்பதுமில்லை.

* அவர் நியாயத்திற்கு ஜெயம்கிடைக்கப்பண்ணுகிறவரைக்கும், நெரிந்த நாணலை முறிக்காமலும், மங்கியெரிகிற திரியை அணைக்காமலும் இருப்பார்.

* அவருடைய நாமத்தின் மேல் புறஜாதியார் நம்பிக்கையாயிருப்பார்கள் என்பதே [ மத்தேயு 12:17-21 ]
